The MaxiPrinter, a Guest Star at the World of Concrete in Vegas

Constructions-3D at the World of Concrete: Innovation and Expansion into the American Market

The World of Concrete (WOC) is one of the largest global expos dedicated to construction. With 1,500 exhibitors and 58,000 visitors in its 19th edition, it is an essential event for key players in 3D concrete printing. Its reputation and scale make it the perfect venue to showcase innovations like the MaxiPrinter from Constructions-3D. Our presence at the WOC aimed to demonstrate the evolution of 3D concrete printing, moving from gantry systems to more advanced and efficient technologies like the MaxiPrinter, meeting today's construction challenges. Our North American partner and distributor, Geopolymer International, intended to present the MaxiPrinter as an alternative to the predominant gantry 3D concrete printers in the North American market.

Feedback from Théo, Representing Constructions-3D at the Expo

The WOC was a fantastic platform for communication, networking, and idea exchange. Interactions with 3D construction enthusiasts and experts were enriching. Beyond the expo, meetings with key figures in 3D construction, like the site visit with Nidus, highlighted an American market more open to technological innovations, offering exciting new opportunities.

GPI: Partner and Innovator

Geopolymer International (GPI) is at the forefront of developing geopolymers, crucial for sustainable and decarbonized construction. Their team has over 40 years of construction experience and globally recognized expertise in the chemistry of geopolymers and their applications.

Geopolymers are known to be 92% more sustainable than conventional building materials. They allow for the reuse of certain by-products usually considered waste. 3D printing offers new freedom in design and engineering and is only beginning to reveal all its benefits for the construction sector.

Combining sustainable materials with high-tech techniques takes construction to the next level. The collaboration with GPI and the presence of the MaxiPrinter at the WOC were crucial to showcase the union of revolutionary materials with cutting-edge printing technology.

The Team at the WOC

The team present at the WOC included key members from GPI - William, Tarek, Ralph, Michael - and from Constructions-3D - Théo, Antoine, Quentin. This collaboration demonstrated a strong synergy between material development and printing technology.

Traditionally oriented towards wood, the country is now turning to concrete due to the increased costs since the pandemic. This shift creates a conducive environment for adopting 3D concrete printing, offering a unique opportunity for Constructions-3D.

Our participation in the World of Concrete has been a major step, paving the way for future collaborations and expansion into the American market, which has given us a very positive reception. Théo, our USA development manager, is already working on the first MaxiPrinter projects. Stay connected to follow our progress and upcoming advancements in the exciting world of 3D construction printing!
